Yo.  This a personal blog and its where I keep notes for a blog project which hasn’t been named yet.  The blog project consists of seven college students taking a turn each day and blogging / vlogging about their life and getting to know each other.  Just my notes to help me prepare for each week

My name is Mae.  Did you know that?  I am 18 and a college freshman (we’re on quarters which means I am still in school which SUCKS).  I’m a nerdfighter (go find me) and pretty awkward, anxious, and awesome.

So… I am a college freshman and I am going to major in English.  I want to write.  That’s all I want to do in life.  I don’t even know what I want to write yet, but I will be a writer someday (hopefully).

I got to a small, private, liberal school in my hometown, Kalamazoo, Michigan.  The school is called… Kalamazoo College.  I love the campus and our academics.  We have something called the K-plan and its the basic path students take while here.  I love the way Kalamazoo College is set up and I always knew I would be here.  I got in before Christmas of my senior year and was done with the whole college search.  After surviving my freshman year (or almost surviving – I’m not done yet o.O), I still love it.  Even if we go until mid-July.  I love the friends I’ve made and all of the events the college hosts.  I absolutely adore campus and even my challenging classes.  I am completely happy here.

Seven Random Facts About Me:

1. Giraffes are like my favorite animals EVER.  They are the greatest thing since… I don’t know, but giraffes are the definition of awesome.

2. I like people with British accents and want to go to England someday.  I also have a friend named Tom, who is British, and I love him… lots.

3. I love to paint and when I get frustrated with life, painting usually helps calm me down.

4. I love magazines, especially the ads.  My half of my dorm walls were covered in ads… like floor to ceiling covered. (I took them down because I am in the process of moving out… because I am finally almost done!!!)

5. My favorite color is orange.

6. I have had and I do love sushi.
